“Vicomte de rien” est inspiré de la lecture de “De la très haute pauvreté”, un livre de Giorgio Agamben. “Vicomte de rien” ne suit pas le livre de près : c’est simplement le sentiment que j’ai eu à sa lecture. Techniquement, c’est un projet informatique-orgue à tuyaux : toutes les pièces sont d’abord jouées à la main, puis retravaillées à l’ordinateur, et enfin rejouées sur l’orgue. “Vicomte de rien” est inclus dans un projet plus large intitulé “Plein jeu”, une série d’explorations des possibilités informatique-orgue à tuyaux menées par le centre Avatar, à Québec.

“Vicomte de rien” is inspired from “The Highest Poverty : Monastic Rules and Form-of-Life”, a book from Giorgio Agamben. It doesn’t follow the book at all : it is simply the feeling I got while reading it. Technically, it is a computer-organ project : all works are first played by hand, then reworked in the computer, then played again on the pipe organ. The whole thing is part of a larger project called “Plein Jeu”, a series of computer-organ related research by the arts centre Avatar, in Quebec.
